Christian Kouame has completed a permanent transfer from Fiorentina to Greek Super League side Aris Thessaloniki, bringing his spell in Florence to an end.

The Viola confirmed the deal in an official statement, via FiorentinaNews, announcing they had sold the player’s sporting rights to Aris FC.

The Ivory Coast international has signed a contract with the Greek club that will run until June 2027, marking a fresh start in his career after several seasons in Serie A.

Kouame nearly joined fellow Serie A side Verona on deadline day, but the move fell through.

Kouame leaves Fiorentina after nearly six years

Kouame joined Fiorentina in 2020 and went on to make numerous appearances across domestic and European competitions, often valued for his versatility across the front line and his work rate off the ball.

However, he struggled to secure a consistent starting role in recent campaigns, leading both player and club to consider a move.

The transfer gives Kouame the opportunity for regular minutes and a new challenge abroad, while Fiorentina continue reshaping their attacking options ahead of the second half of the season.
