Paris Saint-Germain have prepared a lucrative offer for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, but Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has a strategy ahead of the summer.

The 23-year-old Georgian winger has continued to perform well for the Partenopei this term, even amidst the club’s wobbly form and challenged moral. He has scored 10 goals and provided eight assists across 32 league matches.

Last week, reports emerged from France detailing PSG’s serious interest in Kvaratskhelia ahead of the summer transfer window, looking to snap up the talented forward to replace Kylian Mbappe, who is widely expected to be off to Real Madrid. An €80m offer has reportedly been drawn up.

Kvaratskhelia strategy

Page 17 of today’s Corriere dello Sport details how De Laurentiis has no intention of selling Kvaratskhelia to PSG for €80m, believing the Napoli forward is worth at least €120-130m. Furthermore, with Victor Osimhen set to depart, he isn’t keen to lose two stars in one transfer window.

The Partenopei president is looking to reward the Georgian star with a new long-term contract and raise, reflective of his importance to the club. The two parties have met recently to discuss terms and a new meeting will be held in the coming weeks to try and reach an agreement.
