Landon Emenalo has shared a video of him training with Chelsea amid speculation over his Celtic situation.
The defender remains unseen since completing his loan move from Chelsea, having had his move delayed by an injury. It’s now been two months since he completed his medical at Lennoxtown.
The delay in his introduction has been criticised by some in the support, given how much of a void was left following the loan move of Marcelo Saracchi. A deal couldn’t be agreed with the Uruguayan despite his willingness to remain in Glasgow.
As for Emenalo, Martin O’Neill has outlined the timeline for the defender after a question on his fitness. In the meantime, the teenager has shared a stunning clip from Chelsea training.
Via Talent Hunter, Emenalo’s post featured a clip from training at Cobham. The video is undated, but the timing of the defender’s post certainly indicated that it’s recent.
In it, the teenager does one of the most outrageous things you will ever see in a training session. Just yards from his own goal, he loops a long-range bicycle kick all the way over the opposing goalkeeper, triggering frenzied reactions from his teammates.
18 year-old Chelsea defender Landon Emenalo just posted this clip of a bicycle kick he scored in training.

The players’ and coaches’ reactions when it went in were too funny.

If he can do something similar for Celtic, his move will certainly be worth the wait. Hoops boss O’Neill discussed Emenalo at his press conference this week, revealing that he expects to see him next week.
He said: “Yeah, I’m hoping to see him. With a bit of luck he’ll come up tomorrow and he’ll start with us next week. Of course, he’s not with the European team, so he’ll hardly be travelling out to Benfica with us, or we might even get some work there. But yeah, that’s pleasing again.”
Emenalo has featured exclusively as a left-back during pre-season, and has reportedly been targeted for the position by O’Neill. In the past, however, he has played as a midfielder and centre-back, with the former said to be his favoured position.
He featured in Premier League and Champions League matchday squads under Enzo Maresca and Liam Rosenior last season, but no senior appearance was forthcoming.
He primarily played for their U21 side in the Premier League 2 last season, starting 16 of their 20 matches as they finished the campaign as champions.
