Lazio have reportedly identified West Brom star Grady Diangana as the possible heir of the departing Felipe Anderson.

The experienced Brazilian will end his second stint in the Italian capital this weekend when he’ll make his last appearance in Biancocelesti colors against Sassuolo. The 31-year-old has already agreed to join Palmeieras on a free transfer, leaving the club with a major hole to plug in the attacking trident.

So according to LazioNews24, the Italian club has set its sights on Diangana as a possible replacement. The 26-year-old is a West Ham United youth product who has been playing his football at West Bromwich Albion since 2019.

This season, the Congolese contributed with seven goals and eight assists in 38 appearances in the English Championship. He helped his side reach the promotion playoffs, but they were eliminated by Southampton in the semi-final.

Since he’s left-footed, Diangana prefers to play on the right side of the attacking trident as an inverted winger. But he can also feature on the opposite flank or as an attacking midfielder. The player’s contract with West Brom will expire in 2025, so he could be available at an affordable price.

Diangana has thus far spent his entire career in England and represented the Three Lions at the U20 and U21 levels. But at the senior level, he declared for his country of origin, becoming a DR Congo international in 2023.
