The Lazio board has approved the financial numbers for the 2024/25 season, and this includes the figures spent on player signings.
The Biancocelesti’s unbalanced accounts earned them a transfer ban at the start of the summer, preventing them from making any new signings. Nevertheless, nine players were purchased in the previous 12 months, as La Lazio Siamo Noi reveals all the transfer fees as confired by the club.
Nicolo Rovella and Luca Pellegrini joined the Aquile in 2023, but they only recently completed permanent transfers from Juventus. The midfielder cost the club’s coffers €17m, while the left-back’s transfer fee was only worth €4 million.
In the summer of 2024, Lazio spent €16.7 million to reunite Marco Baroni with his Hellas Verona pupil Tijjani Noslin. On the other hand, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru commanded a more affordable transfer feee, arriving from Hatayspor on a deal worth €5.4 million.
Lazio also purchased Loum Tchaouna for €8.7 million from Salernitana last year. Despite an underwhelming season at Formello, they still managed to offload him for a profit, pocketing circa €12.5 from his sale to Burnley. For his part, Samuel Gigot cost the club €4.4 million following his switch from Olympique Marseille.
Despite his recent struggles, many would argue that Lazio’s best piece of business from the summer of 2024 was Nuno Tavares, who has recently completed a permanent transfer from Arsenal for just €6 million, even though the Gunners maintained a 40% sell-on fee.
The Italian capital side was also active in the January market, buying Reda Belahyane from Verona for €10.3 million and Oliver Provstgaard from Vejle BK for 4.5 million. All in all, Lazio spent €77 million during the 2024/25 financial year.
