Qatari side Al-Duhail have reopened talks with Lazio as they look to find a summer deal for midfielder Luis Alberto.

The 31-year-old Spaniard has already made his desire to leave the club in the summer apparent, but Claudio Lotito isn’t willing to let him leave for free, considering that he is contracted to June 2027, forcing interested parties to pay up for his signature.

Luis Alberto was recently left out of the Lazio squad for the win over Empoli due to disciplinary reasons but returned to the pitch for the draw with Inter. He has performed well this term, scoring five goals and providing 11 assists across 44 matches.

As reported by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Al-Duhail have reopened talks with Lazio as they look to agree a deal for Luis Alberto, who has a €15 million price tag. The Spaniard is open to the move, especially considering the lucrative contract he’d be offered.

Talks are expected to progress over the coming weeks and a deal could be agreed for the summer transfer window.
