The Serie A clash between Lazio and Udinese kicks off at 20:45 local time on Monday 11th March at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

Lazio Team News, Injuries, Suspensions & Probable Lineup

Maurizio Sarri faces a selection headache due to multiple player absences. Marusic, Pellegrini, and Guendouzi are all suspended, while Patric and Rovella remain injured (aiming for a return next Saturday).

The attacking line-up appears to be the only settled area for Sarri. Felipe Anderson, Immobile, and Zaccagni are expected to form the starting trident, although Castellanos and Isaksen might push for a place after showing promise in training.

The irreplaceable Guendouzi is suspended, forcing Sarri to shift Vecino back to the right midfield role. Vecino returns to a more central position after two games playing as a playmaker. Cataldi is likely to partner Luis Alberto in the center of the park. The Spaniard, despite some fatigue, participated in full training yesterday, alleviating concerns about his fitness.

With Marusic and Pellegrini suspended, Lazzari and Hysaj are the only remaining fit full-backs. In central defense, barring any last-minute changes, the pairing of Gila and Romagnoli is expected to start.

Lazio (4-3-3): Provedel; Lazzari; Gila, Romagnoli, Hysaj; Vecino, Cataldi, Luis Alberto; Anderson, Immobile, Zaccagni.

Udinese Team News, Injuries, Suspensions & Probable Lineup

Gabriele Cioffi faces a challenge for the upcoming match as both Festy Ebosele and Walace are suspended. This means the Bianconeri will be missing their vice-captain, creating a significant gap in midfield control. Tucu Pereyra returns from injury, but whether he starts or comes on as a substitute remains to be seen.

Cioffi will likely stick with the familiar 3-5-2 formation, with Okoye in goal. The defensive lineup is up in the air, with Kristensen returning from suspension but Joao Ferreira a strong contender after his recent performances. Lautaro Giannetti and Nehuen Perez are expected to complete the defensive trio.

The midfield is shrouded in doubt. Ehizibue and Kamara are the favored choices for the wings. Zarraga, Payero, and Lovric are all options to play in front of the defense, potentially rotating playmaking duties. Samardzic might be brought on as an impact substitute in the second half. Pereyra’s deployment also remains undecided – he could play on the right wing or even in a more central midfield role.

Up front, Thauvin and Lucca are expected to form the attacking duo.

Udinese (3-5-1-1): Okoye; Joao Ferreira, Giannetti, Perez; Ehizibue, Pereyra, Lovric, Payero, Kamara; Thauvin, Lucca.
