These things take time to resolve. Just look at the ongoing situation with Manchester City. City were charged with 115 alleged FFP rule breaches...in February 2023. A verdict was expected back in March but none has been forthcoming. Why the delay?
According to Premier League rules, if found guilty City could face a 100-point deduction, a transfer embargo and even expulsion from the Premier League. But the longer it drags on, the more the feeling grows that they will escape with nothing more than a slap on the wrist.
Fans have taken to Social Media to express their outrage at the alleged double standard in the treatment of rich and poor clubs. Just last season Everton were deducted points for similar (but lesser) alleged crimes than City.

If there's any consolation it's that Manchester City have ended 2024/25 trophy-less for the first time since 2016/17 and they've done a pretty good job at self-deducting points this season.
