Levante face Barcelona on Saturday night at the Estadi Ciutat de València. Kick-off is 9:30 pm CEST in Valencia, 8:30 pm BST in the UK, and 3:30 pm ET / 12:30 pm PT in the United States.
Levante lost 2–1 at Alavés on the opening day, a reminder of the step up in class after promotion from the Segunda División. Julián Calero’s side will look for a better performance in front of their fans.
Hansi Flick started his second season with Barcelona with a 3–0 win at Mallorca. Raphinha, Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal scored, though the visitors were aided by playing against nine men for most of the second half. Flick said Barça still needs to improve.
Barcelona have named a 22-player squad for the trip, with Robert Lewandowski returning from a hamstring issue. Notably, Frenkie de Jong is absent for personal reasons. Long-term absentees include Marc-André ter Stegen and Marc Bernal, while Joan García is registered and eligible.

Others , including Szczęsny, Gerard Martín, and Roony Bardghji , remain unregistered. Flick’s biggest decision is whether to start Lewandowski or bring him off the bench.
Levante suffers from continued absences. They are without goalkeeper Alfonso Pastor who is recovering from finger surgery. Midfielders Jon Ander Olasagasti, Kervin Arriaga, Alan Matturro and Goduine Koyalipou are doubts. Julián Calero will do late fitness tests and Víctor García could start if extra width is needed.
Levante (expected 5–3–2): Cuñat; Toljan, De La Fuente, Elgezabal, Cabello, Sánchez; Álvarez, Rey, Martínez; Romero, Brugué.
Barcelona (expected 4–2–3–1): Joan García; Eric García, Araújo, Cubarsí, Balde; De Jong, Pedri; Yamal, Olmo, Raphinha; Ferran Torres. Lewandowski is likely to start from the bench.

Across 45 encounters, Barcelona have dominated with 32 wins, compared to Levante’s 6, and 7 draws. Their last meeting at this venue was a 3–2 Barça win in April 2022. Levante’s most memorable recent triumph came back in 2018 with a 5–4 thriller.
Barça are the big favourites. Bookmakers and prediction models have it all in favour of Flick’s side given their attacking options and Levante’s absentees. Levante have the home crowd but their defensive injuries make this a tough ask.
Prediction: Levante 1–3 Barcelona.
