An event billed as the 'Last Dance' between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will ultimately feature neither player after both pulled out with injury issues.
Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi has not been selected in his team's squad for Thursday's exhibition against Al Nassr after reporting discomfort in his hamstring.
Messi's withdrawal was announced 24 hours after Al Nassr boss Luis Castro had confirmed that Ronaldo would not be involved because of a calf injury.
Ronaldo's injury forced Al Nassr to cancel two games in China last week.
However, Thursday's match vs. Miami will go ahead despite missing its two main co-stars.
Both sides will still field multiple familiar faces in their starting XIs.
Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba will all start for Miami, while the Al Nassr XI will include Aymeric Laporte, Alex Telles and Marcelo Brozovic.
