Messi joined PSG earlier this month after his new contract with Barcelona fell through. He agreed to a two-year deal with The Parisians.
The 34-year-old had played for Barcelona since he was 13 years old, winning 35 titles. He is a four-time Champions League champion, 10-time Spanish League champion, seven-time Copa del Rey champion and eight-time Spanish Super Cup champion.
Messi didn't want to leave Barcelona this summer but was essentially forced out due to financial complications at the club, which is $1.6 billion in debt.
In addition to Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar were also named to PSG's squad against Reims. Neymar has yet to play this season, and Mbappe is being pursued by Real Madrid as he does not intend to extend his contract at Le Parc des Princes.
Sunday could be the only time the trio plays together as the transfer window closes in two days and Mbappe appears to be on the way out.
The Parisians have won all of their Ligue 1 matches so far this season with victories over Troyes, Strasbourg and Brest.
