Liverpool FC have confirmed on Monday afternoon that Trey Nyoni has signed a new contract with the club.

On his 18th birthday, the midfielder – who joined from Leicester City’s academy in 2023 – has put pen to paper on a new long-term deal with the Premier League champions, as announced on liverpoolfc.com at 3pm today.

The teenager made LFC history earlier this year when coming off the bench in the 3-2 defeat to PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League in January, which made him the youngest-ever player to feature for the Reds’ first team in Europe.

Nyoni made five senior appearances for Liverpool last season and has played six times for us in total, with his full debut coming in the Carabao Cup win over Southampton towards the end of 2024 (Transfermarkt).
