Liverpool planning on signing PL’s own ‘Sergio Ramos’

The Dutch manager replaced the legendary Jurgen Klopp at the start of the season, with many doubting the choice of replacement. However, Slot has proved his doubters wrong and has managed to make each player play to their best skill.

Liverpool eyeing a centre-back

It is a good time to be a Liverpool fan right now, with the club still in the hunt for three major trophies this year. But even after a rich vein of form, the Reds are still looking to improve in certain areas of the pitch, including the centre-back position.

There have a lot of doubts about club captain Virgil van Dijk, as well as, his defensive partner Ibrahima Konate’s future. The former’s contract is ending this summer, with the player still nowhere close to signing an extension. On the other hand, Konate has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in the summer and bolster their defence that already consists the likes of Rudiger and Alaba, as reported by GIVEMESPORT.

Liverpool are said to be in the market for a young centre-back that can potentially replace either of the current two defenders. The Reds will be looking for a ball-playing defender, who can score an odd goal as well.

Bournemouth defender has been linked with a move to Anfield

According to CaughtOffside, Liverpool are keeping tabs on the talented Bournemouth defender, Dean Huijsen. They also report that Liverpool are planning a €30-35million bid for the 19-year-old. Many clubs, including Arsenal and Newcastle United, are said to be interested in the young talent as well.

Huijsen has been compared to the legendary forward Sergio Ramos as well, as per Sky Sports. There are similarities between the two and the Cherries defender loves scoring crucial goals as well, just like the Real Madrid legend Ramos. The Spaniard will be a perfect for Arne Slot’s side as the Dutch manager prefers to play out from the back and needs a defender who is good with the ball in his feet.

Liverpool will be hoping to sign the talented defender and fans will hope he will don the red colour at Anfield for years to come. Huijsen will be linked with many clubs in the summer and will have to make a tough decision. Will the 19-year-old end up in Anfield or will it be a hit-and-miss case for the Reds?
