Slot has also ensured that the Liverpool players have perfected the pressing style under him, mostly employing a mid-press to win back the ball in midfield and then work their way on counter-attacks. The relatively lesser defensive work for forward players has significantly benefitted them, with Salah excelling with more time in the opposition half and scoring 28 goals in the league.
