The Monaco GP is filled with glamor and celebrity attendance. Several multi-millionaires attend the race weekend and spectate the event from their own yachts. Hence, amidst the sea of celebrities, Liverpool star, Trent Alexander-Arnold was spotted visiting the race circuit before the qualifying session. The football star has great hopes for Alpine despite their out-of-form performance since the start of the 2024 season.

Trent Alexander Arnold had invested in Alpine racing amongst other big athletes such as Travis Kelce, Juan Mata, etc. Hence, the English footballer was expected to attend the race weekend after being part of such a big investment. Arnold was questioned regarding his faith in Alpine’s chances over the Monaco weekend amidst a declining performance.

He explained that the Monaco GP was ‘very special’ to him, especially as an investor. The 25-year-old highlighted that he was happy to be present over the weekend on Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, the Briton claimed he was excited about the race as well as the qualifying session and witnessing what Alpine had under their belt.

Very special, Very special. Happy to be here today, happy to be here tomorrow as well. I’m excited for the race and for the qualification.

Trent Alexander Arnold told Sky Sports F1.

Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon clear Q1 qualifying session for the Monaco GP

Alpine’s nightmare season start saw the two drivers Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly fail to score any good results. A majority of the fans lost hope in the French squad after the team failed to produce a good chassis. Regardless, the Monaco GP could be different from the usual race weekends. The fans cheer on as the two drivers clear the Q1 session for the Monte Carlo race.

Gasly scored a lap time good enough to propel him into the top 10 position during the Q1 session. Additionally, Ocon barely missed out on being eliminated after holding the P15 position during the session. Hence, both drivers will try to battle it out in the Q2 session to make it through to Q3.

Alpine might have a great chance to score some good results after witnessing a top squad like Red Bull face multiple issues. Both drivers out-qualified Sergio Perez and Fernando Alonso at the Monaco GP qualifying. As a result, the main race will be out of the ordinary and produce some unexpected great results for the drivers on the grid.
