Man United won their previous league game before the international break and will look to pick up back-to-back wins in the Premier League under Ruben Amorim. The Red Devils have a great opportunity to not only get closer to Liverpool but to leap many teams in the Premier League table.
The last time both teams played each other in the league was in January this year, which was part of last season. Liverpool and Man United drew 2-2 at Anfield; the goal scorers for Liverpool were Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah, and Man United's goal scorers were Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo.

Alisson Becker continues to be ruled out as Arne Slot confirmed that he has yet to train with the team. Ibrahima Konate is not officially ruled out, but was questionable due to a thigh injury.
Wataru Endo is also questionable, while Giovanni Leoni and Stefan Bajcetic are ruled out.
Manchester United
Ruben Amorim announced that Lisandro Martinez is close to returning to team training but won't play vs Liverpool. Noussair Mazraoui is questionable for the match, and Ayden Heaven is also ruled out.
