Derry loan to Coventry makes sense for both sides

While he impressed on his debut, the club are going to have a lot of wing options available to them next season. Geovany Quenda is coming in, Jamie Gittens will be back fit too. Derry will be pretty low on the first team pecking order. That’s why a loan sounds so tempting, and Frank Lampard’s promoted Coventry team have been mentioned.

The Sky Blues would get a really promising attacking option to strengthen their squad in the Premier League for almost no cost. Chelsea would see one of their top talents developing under a manager they trust.

Estevao is trying to avoid having surgery on his hamstring problem so that he can race back and be fit for the World Cup – that’s a decision we’re really not sure about.
