"Me equivoqué y lo lamento sinceramente"

Luis Suarez: "Firstly, I want to congratulate Seattle Sounders for their win in the Leagues Cup. But above all, I want to apologize for my behavior after the match. It was a very tense and frustrating moment, where just after the match, actions occurred that should not have happened, but that is no justification for my reaction. I made a mistake and I sincerely regret it. It is not the image I want to show in front of my family, who suffer for my mistakes, nor in front of my club, who also don't deserve to be affected by something like that. I feel bad for what happened, and I didn't want to pass up on the opportunity to recognize and ask for forgiveness from everyone who felt bad about what I did. We know there is still a long season ahead, and we will work together to achieve the success that this club and its fans deserve. Hugs for everyone.
Inter Miami have yet to respond to the incidents after the League Cup Final, which also showcased fights involving other Inter Miami players.
