Lukaku was one of several Napoli players celebrating their second Scudetto on Friday night. Unlike Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Stanislav Lobotka, Frank Anguissa, Matteo Politano and Giacomo Raspadori and the rest of them, Lukaku’s first Serie A title came under Antonio Conte at Inter in 2020-21.
“I missed you,” was the message Lukaku posted to his Instagram story on Saturday morning, along with a picture of himself kissing the Serie A trophy.
Lukaku finished the season as Napoli’s leading goalscorer in Serie A and across all competitions. He has chipped in with 14 goals and 10 assists in the league since joining from Chelsea during the summer transfer window.
The Belgian was the scorer of Napoli’s first and last goals of the 2024-25 campaign, opening his account in a 2-1 victory over Parma at the end of August, and closing it with the Scudetto-sealing goal in the 2-0 win over Cagliari on Friday night.
