
The 2025 AFCON has reached the quarterfinals, and the first match of this stage is Mali vs Senegal. Both teams advanced to the quarterfinals after winning their Round of 16 matches last Saturday.
Mali qualified by beating Tunisia on penalties after a 1-1 draw after extra time. Tunisia took the lead in the 88th minute through a goal from Firas Chaouat, but a last-minute penalty equalizer from Mali's Lassine Sinayoko sent the game to extra time.
In the penalty shootout, Mali won 3-2 against Tunisia; Tunisia missed three penalties, and Mali missed two.
Senegal defeated Sudan 3-1 over the weekend to reach the quarterfinals. Pape Gueye scored a brace, and Ibrahim Mbaye scored the third in Senegal's win over Sudan.
Senegal remains unbeaten in the 2025 AFCON with three wins and one draw. Mali has drawn all of their matches in regular time so far, but reached the quarterfinals due to a penalty shootout against Tunisia in the Round of 16.
Mali vs Senegal will kick off at 8 a.m. ET/ 5 a.m. PT in the United States. The match will kick off at 2 p.m. local time at the Tangier Grand Stadium in Tangier, Morocco.
The match will be available to watch on multiple TV channels and streaming services in the United States and in other countries.
