FC Inter News reports (via Le10Sport) that the financial obstacle that could prevent Donnarumma from returning to Serie A. The salary demanded by the PSG goalkeeper is beyond the reach of many clubs—he’s seeking a four- or five-year deal worth €13 million net per season.

Even if PSG were to let Donnarumma leave on a free transfer next year, his wages would remain too high for most Italian teams, including Inter Milan.

As a result, the pursuit of Donnarumma appears unlikely, despite ongoing contact from the player’s agent. Inter Milan are instead prioritizing a more affordable option to maintain stability at the position.

Marco Carnesecchi of Atalanta Bergamo has emerged as a credible and promising target for the future. The 25-year-old has strong internal support, and his profile aligns better with Inter Milan’s financial reality.

However, a summer move is unlikely, as Yann Sommer has informed club officials he plans to play one final season with Inter Milan.
