Akliouche recently spoke with L’Equipe. The Frenchman noted that he knew he wouldn’t be leaving Monaco despite the rumors linking him to other top European clubs.
“When did I realize I was staying at Monaco? Only three or four days ago,” Akliouche said (h/t Le10Sport). “Before that, nothing was really decided. When I scored against Strasbourg, I kissed the club badge to show that I was staying.”
According to a previous report from L’Équipe, Manchester United are also a name linked to the Frenchman. Nonetheless, it appears as though several Premier League clubs are keen on the Monaco standout. Despite the interest, it will take a significant sum.
Monaco reportedly ask between €70 million and €80 million for the midfielder, a high price that hasn’t deterred any of the clubs tracking him, making a summer transfer seem more likely.
