Man Utd’s Antony makes final decision on two new suitors from another continent: ‘He appreciated…’

With Marcus Rashford’s exit from Manchester United moving ahead quickly, attention has now turned to the other four players the club has made available.

Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia and Jadon Sancho are having a tougher time finding moves. Rashford’s upside and appeal in a new setting helped his case, while the others aren’t drawing the same level of interest.

Real Betis are still claiming financial constraints when it comes to the Brazilian winger. Garnacho is starting to see where he really stands in the game. Sancho’s had more than enough reminders of that already. And it looks like Malacia will be the last one out anyway.

Recently, according to reports from Antony’s home country, two domestic giants showed interest in signing him, but their efforts look set to fail.

Reports of Antony’s move away from Old Trafford have lingered for some time now, largely because he has his heart set on a return to Betis. The Spanish side, though, seem determined to lowball Manchester United as much as possible.

But recently, that stance seemed to shift. Antony had become more open to offers from Saudi Arabia, and soon after, Al-Nassr was said to have put in a bid.

That change of heart hasn’t extended beyond Saudi Arabia. According to Brazilian outlet Antenados, Antony has turned down offers from both Sao Paulo and Botafogo.

The report mentions that while he appreciated their interest, he told them a return to Brazil isn’t part of his plans right now.

It’s not expected those clubs will come back with further offers. With Antony’s position clear, United can now focus on finding solutions in Europe or the Middle East.

Man Utd must remain firm in Antony talks

Antony has always conducted himself professionally at Man Utd, so the club likely will not stand in his way when it comes time to move on.

But unlike the others, he’s coming off a strong spell, so there’s no need for United to rush into a deal they are not happy with.

His return to form at Real Betis was impressive, and if the Spanish club aren’t willing to meet United’s terms, there should not be any pressure to accept a low offer just because it suits him.

If it comes down to choosing between another loan arrangement with Betis or a solid bid from Saudi Arabia, the answer is clear from a business perspective.

The best outcome for United would be multiple clubs getting involved late on. Amorim has made it clear that United won’t be pressured into quick sales for any of these four players.
