TEAMtalk reported on Friday, citing sources, that Manchester United admire Simons and are among several Premier League and European clubs interested in the attacking midfielder.

However, with the club navigating tight PSR (Profitability and Sustainability Rules) constraints, their priority is strengthening other areas, particularly finding a new No. 9. That makes a move for Simons unlikely unless there are significant departures to free up funds.

Leipzig could demand as much as €80 million for Simons, depending on how many bonuses have been paid to PSG by then.

For now, Manchester United’s primary focus remains securing a striker, with director of recruitment Christopher Vivell and technical director Jason Wilcox leading the search.
