Manchester City and Manchester United share one of English football’s fiercest rivalries, but Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS revolution has seen several figures with connections to the Etihad Stadium arrive at Old Trafford.

Perhaps the most controversial appointment was Omar Berrada, who left City Football Group in 2024 to become United’s chief executive.

Berrada had previously overseen commercial operations before assuming greater responsibility for City’s football strategy.

Jason Wilcox followed a different route, leaving City’s academy in 2023 for Southampton before joining United in April 2024.

He was subsequently promoted to director of football, becoming central to INEOS’ ambitious restructuring.

However, the appointments have failed to deliver the success Ratcliffe promised.

United spent £155 million on Carlos Baleba, Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos during the summer, yet failed to strengthen at left-back or secure sufficient attacking depth.

Michael Carrick has consequently struggled, winning just two of his opening 12 matches despite guiding United to third place last season.

Sunday’s 3-0 defeat against Bournemouth intensified supporter anger, with the Glazers and INEOS facing fierce criticism.

Wilcox is now facing questions over his future, while Berrada has also come under scrutiny.

The pair were recently confronted by Manchester United YouTuber Adam McKola during the defeat against Como.

Now, another figure with Manchester City connections has confirmed a move across the divide.

Manchester City executive confirms Manchester United switch

Former Manchester City hospitality executive Finn Euston-Moore has officially confirmed his appointment as senior sales executive at Elevate, working exclusively on Manchester United’s VVIP hospitality experiences.

Writing on LinkedIn, Euston-Moore announced his new position following five years at City.

His previous roles included the Chairman’s Club hospitality team, inside sales coordinator and business development executive.

Interestingly, he also previously worked in United’s VIP Directors’ Lounge between September 2021 and June 2024, making this a return to familiar surroundings.

The appointment follows United’s official partnership with Elevate, announced in June.

The agreement introduces exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences, premium hospitality and opportunities for supporters to meet players.

Euston-Moore is employed by Elevate rather than directly by Manchester United.
