Pep Guardiola’s squad began preparations for Saturday’s FA Cup final yesterday. They had two days off following their 3-1 victory over West Ham at the Etihad on Sunday. The champions appeared in a buoyant mood as they returned to training yesterday. In images shared on Manchester City’s official X account, the work has begun for Saturday’s clash with their arch rivals. A win over Manchester United would see City make it back to back FA Cup wins. The fact it would be against their biggest rivals would make the achievement that much more sweeter. Pep Guardiola’s side could also make it back to back. Premier League/FA Cup doubles with victory on Saturday. That would be another remarkable achievement for the world champions.

On the injury front, the champions will be without Ederson for the FA Cup final. City’s number one keeper has been ruled out for the final game of the season with a fractured cheekbone. As it stands, he is the only player ruled out of the final game of Manchester City’s season.
