Manchester City have completed the signing of a Manchester United forward.

It is another eye-catching move between the two rivals.

United significantly strengthened their attack last summer by signing Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko.

Mbeumo and Sesko each scored 11 Premier League goals during the 2025/26 campaign, while Cunha added 10.

The arrivals naturally increased competition across the forward line.

Amad Diallo therefore found himself playing a more rotational role despite still featuring regularly under Michael Carrick.

The Ivorian ended the league season with two goals, having previously enjoyed a much stronger individual campaign in 2024/25.

Several clubs also approached United over a possible move for Amad earlier this summer.

However, the Red Devils made it clear they had no intention of selling the 24-year-old.

This latest move, though, does not involve Amad.

Manchester United attacker signs for Manchester City

According to Ballerz Scout on Instagram, City have completed the signing of highly-rated Manchester United academy forward Nico Cadeau.

The youngster is regarded as one of the country’s biggest talents in his age group.

He once scored more than 200 goals in a single season and averaged 5.5 goals per game during the following campaign.

Nike also recognised his potential by handing him a four-year sponsorship deal at a young age.

Cadeau impressed on the international stage as well.

He was named in the Team of the Tournament at a major youth competition alongside players from Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Remarkably, Cadeau was the only player selected who did not represent either Spanish giant.

The move comes only one day after Manchester United completed two academy signings from Manchester City.

United recently secured the arrivals of England youth internationals David Eze and Karim Cassim from their local rivals.

City have now responded by landing one of United’s brightest young attacking prospects as the battle for elite academy talent continues across Manchester.
