Manchester United are continuing to shape their long-term sporting project as the club looks ahead to the next phase of its rebuild.
Earlier this season, United made headlines for their transfer activity, with signings such as Benjamin Sesko, Senne Lammens, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo making a strong early impression at Old Trafford.
The club’s recruitment strategy has been under particular focus as INEOS continue to reshape the squad.
United’s squad planning has also extended beyond immediate signings.
The club are expected to be active again in the upcoming transfer window, with midfield reinforcements under consideration and players such as Sandro Tonali previously emerging among the names linked with a move.
Meanwhile, Manchester United scouts have also been monitoring emerging talents across Europe.
Fabrizio Romano recently revealed that representatives from the club attended RB Leipzig’s match against Augsburg to watch highly rated winger Yan Diomande.
Amid those ongoing recruitment plans, a new report has now revealed the estimated overall value of Manchester United’s current squad.
According to the CIES Football Observatory, Manchester United possess the ninth most valuable squad in world football during the 2025/26 season.
The study estimates the aggregate transfer value of United’s players at around €829 million, placing them behind clubs such as Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Chelsea top the global list with a total squad value estimated at €1.732 billion, narrowly ahead of Manchester City (€1.608bn) and Real Madrid (€1.541bn).
The report also highlights that Benjamin Sesko currently stands as the most valuable player within Manchester United’s squad, with an estimated value of €87.3 million according to the model used in the analysis.
CIES Football Observatory calculated the rankings using a statistical model that estimates transfer values based on performance data, age, contract length and various market indicators across players in more than 70 leagues worldwide.
While United remain among the most valuable squads globally, the figures underline the financial strength of several Premier League rivals.
