Manchester United enter race for Harry Kane-like striker amid links to Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to sign a new striker in the upcoming winter transfer window given the availability concerns of Richarlison, and the Lilywhites have been looking at Brighton starlet Evan Ferguson.

The Lilywhites supporters and chiefs at Hotspur Way have been growing frustrated with Richy’s struggles to find his feet at N17, complemented by his injury problems, and they are looking to call curtains to his time at N17 and make way for a potential upgrade.

In Evan Ferguson they can get a high-potential player who has not only shown his capabilities in the English top tier but also aligns with the transfer strategy that Daniel Levy has adapted at White Hart Lane of late, where he looks to bring highly acclaimed young players and looks to nurture them into their potential within the corridors of Hotspur Way.

United enter Evan Ferguson race

While Spurs weigh in on moving for the 2004-born striker, the North Londoners’ Premier League rivals Manchester United have registered their interest in pursuing his signatures, per Caught Offside, who insist that the United Reds are looking to bring Evan Ferguson as a potential replacement with exit-bound Marcus Rashford.

The Republic of Ireland ace has quickly gained a reputation of being one of the brightest young prospects in the English top tier, and while he has not featured for the Seagulls regularly this season, his performances have shown his ability to thrive in the Premier League, with many comparing him to Lilywhites icon Harry Kane, as the 20-year-old possesses a trait of physique, technical skill, and a natural goal-scoring instinct, much like the England skipper.
