Manchester United will be focusing on adding midfielders in the summer and winter transfer windows next year, but they may also try to swing the right deal at the right price for another defender.
While Man United aren’t desperate for defensive help with players like Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro, and Noussair Mazraoui performing well with the likes of Lisandro Martinez coming back from injury to help as well, they could still use one more piece to bolster the depth.
According to a report from Turkish outlet Sabah, Manchester United have joined a couple of other big Premier League clubs with an interest in Wilfried Singo of Galatasaray, and they have actually recently scouted him in person at a match, too.
Singo was a solid right wing back in Serie A for Torino before transitioning to center back and becoming legitimately one of the best players in Ligue 1 for Monaco before chasing the bag in the Turkish Super Lig.
But Singo could be coaxed into the bright lights of the Premier League, and while he’d only be a backup for Manchester United, his ability to play as a center back or a right wing back for Man United could be massive, especially if the Red Devils can swing a bargain deal with Galatasaray on a transfer.
