Manchester United honour Casemiro with limited edition shirt

Casemiro will say his final goodbyes to Old Trafford on Sunday lunchtime, in a game set to be one of both a celebratory and emotional state.

The 34-year-old midfielder, who joined the club in August 2022, is set to depart at the end of his contract after a period with the club that has turned him into a true hero amongst the United faithful.

Shown in a post on Instagram from user ‘makima_indavidwetrust’, Manchester United have put a special limited edition shirt honouring Casemiro on sale. The shirt features a graphic of Casemiro on the back, and the few available are priced at £125.

The design has been printed on top of United’s new 2026/27 shirt, which is set for its first outing against Nottingham Forest.

It’s just one of the ways United are honouring Casemiro as he says a Manchester farewell on Sunday, in a series of classy gestures from the club.

Before the final home match of the season for the Red Devils against Nottingham Forest, a large surfer banner paying tribute to Casemiro will be unveiled, a design presented to the Brazilian himself at the training ground Carrington earlier in the month.

The banner will be unfurled from the west stand tier two at the Theatre of Dreams, draping over tier one as the United and Nottingham Forest players emerge.

It will come after the expected appointment of Michael Carrick as permanent Manchester United manager, who is set to sign a two-year deal as head coach. It’s set to be a busy day at Old Trafford – and of course, a football match takes place too!

Nobody on Sunday will want to win more than the experienced Brazilian as he takes to the field at Old Trafford one last time in a Red Devils shirt – as the true professional he is.
