Fabrizio Romano revealed that Juventus are planning to open new transfer talks with Manchester United for their outcast Jadon Sancho. The Red Devils are struggling to sell their surplus players, who are on enormous wages at the club right now.
Sancho has already spent two loan spells away from United, after failing to secure a permanent move in previous windows. The 25-year-old attacker spent last season on loan to Premier League rival Chelsea, where he enjoyed a lot of success.
Chelsea qualified for the Champions League football for the next season and also won the UEFA Conference League with Sancho. However, the England international struggled with inconsistency individually, which incurred criticism from the fanbase of the London rival last season.
While Sancho’s appearances triggered the obligation to buy clause, his salary cost United £25m as Chelsea rejected the permanent signing. The London club opted to pay a £5m penalty instead of matching his astronomical wages, which he is currently earning.
We All Follow United recently covered Romano’s report, telling us that Sancho’s salary is a big obstacle to his sale. Speaking on his recent YouTube video, Romano revealed that Juventus are planning to make another approach for United star Sancho. He said:
“Juventus will have a new contact with Manchester United about Jadon Sancho. Despite the links with Fenerbahce, they are not in talks for Sancho. Juventus, yes, and Juventus will speak again with Man United and with the camp of player in the upcoming days about Jadon Sancho.”
Earlier reports suggested that Jose Mourinho wanted Sancho at Fenerbahce, but a conversation with Ruben Amorim changed his transfer stance. United have faced a similar problem with other surplus players like Marcus Rashford and Antony, who are enjoying big wages.
At the same time, the Red Devils cannot dwell on every single transfer deal due to the shortage of time. United have to address several vulnerable areas in the team before the summer window shuts, leaving them less room to process their action or let any other factor dictate their time. Rest assured, the chapter of Sancho and United together is long over and needs an absolute ending.
