Manchester United leak unveiling of January 2026 signing

The January transfer window is always important for strengthening squads mid-season as a push for the end of the campaign or covering any injury struggles.

Heading into the 2026 winter window, United are known to be on the hunt for midfield talent, helping to cover the injuries to Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo, with Manuel Ugarte untrusted to fill in effectively.

As such, players like Ruben Neves and Conor Gallagher have been linked with a move to Old Trafford, however it’s not just the men’s team recruiting right now.

Marc Skinner’s women’s team have recently signed Swedish full-back Hanna Lundkvist, seeing her joining from American side San Diego Wave this weekend.

However, another signing was leaked in her announcement video before it was taken down and reuploaded.

Whilst visiting Old Trafford in the video, The Sun has reported how fellow new signing Lea Schuller could be seen with her, despite her joining from Bayern Munich having not been announced at the time of uploading.

Considering the video was taken down, reuploaded, then the announcement post of Schuller joining United came shortly after, it’s a fair assumption that the video leak forced United’s hand with revealing their new signing.

However, the pair moving to Old Trafford has been ready for a couple of weeks now, with CentreDevils exclusively revealing the deals were done on 19th December.

Now, Skinner has two exciting new signings joining his ranks which are already including impressive talents like Ella Toone, Jess Park and Phallon Tullis-Joyce.
