Football Italia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà reports that Manchester United have monitored Atalanta’s Marco Carnesecchi as a potential replacement for André Onana.
Italy international Carnesecchi has emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United, as the Red Devils consider replacing Onana in the 2025-26 season.
Football Italia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà reports on Caughtoffside that Atalanta don’t want to sell the 24-year-old, although an offer close to €50m could make La Dea change their mind.
It is reported that Atalanta and Manchester United have an excellent relationship, thanks to previous negotiations for Amad Diallo and Rasmus Hojlund, as well as recent contacts for Brazilian midfielder Ederson.
According to the report, Carnesecchi isn’t Manchester United’s only option to replace Onana, as the Red Devils are also looking at Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez.
As for Atalanta, Elia Caprile, Mattia Perin and Wladimiro Falcone are the possible Carnesecchi replacements if the Italian moves to Old Trafford this summer.
