Manchester United have officially announced a “new addition” ahead of their Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

The announcement comes after a busy summer at Old Trafford, with Michael Carrick welcoming several new faces into his squad.

Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos arrived to strengthen the midfield, while Karl Darlow added experience between the posts.

Carlos Baleba was the headline arrival. United finally signed the Cameroon international from Brighton after a lengthy pursuit.

An ankle injury has delayed his competitive debut, but Baleba recently returned to action in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Lausanne-Sport.

He is now pushing to make his competitive United debut against Tottenham this weekend.

However, Baleba is not the new addition United have announced.

Carrick could certainly do with some extra help. As CentreDevils recently reported, the two clubs have a combined 17 injury concerns heading into Saturday’s game.

United desperately need a positive result. They currently sit 12th in the Premier League after collecting only five points from their opening five matches.

The latest addition is not a player at all.

Manchester United have officially unveiled a new mural at Old Trafford.

The club revealed the artwork in a short video published on their official website on Wednesday.

The mural features several United stars celebrating in the famous red shirt, with captain Bruno Fernandes taking centre stage.

United labelled the artwork “Old Trafford’s newest addition” and encouraged supporters attending the Tottenham game to take a look.

“Are you coming to the game on Saturday? Make sure you check out this mural,” the club wrote.

It represents another change at Old Trafford during a season which has already brought plenty of developments on and off the pitch.

United have also welcomed several new faces away from Carrick’s playing squad in recent weeks, as the club continues making changes behind the scenes.

Attention will return to matters on the pitch this weekend.

Baleba could finally make his competitive debut, while United will hope to climb the Premier League table with victory over bottom-placed Tottenham.

Supporters arriving at Old Trafford will now have another new addition waiting for them before kick-off.
