Manchester United supporters finally have a date to circle, with the club preparing to unveil the next piece of their 2026/27 collection.

The Reds have already launched their new home strip ahead of the upcoming campaign, but attention has quickly shifted to what players will be wearing on the road this season.

United wore the new kit for the first time in a Premier League fixture against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford in May.

Images of the away shirt surfaced online earlier this month, sparking plenty of debate among supporters eager to see whether the leaks were accurate.

Now, fans will not have to wait much longer before the official reveal arrives.

Manchester United have confirmed, via their website, that their new adidas away kit for the 2026/27 season will officially be released on 22 July, with supporters able to purchase it from Wednesday morning.

The design takes inspiration from one of the club’s most memorable away shirts from 1988, while introducing a modern twist that reflects Manchester’s heritage.

Rather than simply recreating a retro classic, adidas have incorporated a flowing wave pattern throughout the shirt as a tribute to the River Irwell, recognising the waterway that has long been connected to the city and its industrial history.

The shirt’s main colour is a striking royal blue, complemented by red and white detailing, echoing the vibrant blue kits worn by United between 1985 and 1990 during the famous adidas and Sharp era.

Adding to the nostalgic feel, the jersey will also feature the return of the classic adidas Trefoil logo, continuing the trend of blending vintage elements with modern performance designs.

After unveiling the home kit earlier this summer, United are now set to complete another major chapter of their preparations for the new season as supporters finally get their first official look at the away strip.
