Manchester United have opened the door to negotiations with Juventus over Joshua Zirkzee, as the Bianconeri step up their pursuit of the Netherlands striker.
According to Sportal , Zirkzee is giving serious thought to a return to Serie A after two underwhelming seasons at Old Trafford. Signed for more than €40m in the summer of 2024, the former Bologna forward struggled to settle in the Premier League, managing just nine goals and four assists across the two years while spending long spells on the bench.
That frustration has strengthened the pull of Italy. The Bayern Munich academy product would welcome a move to Juventus and has reportedly already told his entourage he is in favour of a switch to Turin.
The key development, though, concerns United: while the English club have no intention of selling cheaply, they are said to have opened to the possibility of opening talks with Juventus to find a solution that suits both sides.
Contacts are expected to intensify in the coming days, with the Juventus hierarchy monitoring the situation closely.
The operation could gather pace should the two clubs land on a formula that persuades United to sanction the striker’s departure.
