Manchester United plan over-seas training camp for Premier League run-in

Manchester United are heading into a crucial phase of the season with their sights firmly set on securing Champions League football.

With only seven league matches left to play, every detail now matters as the club looks to hold onto a top-five position, which is expected to be enough for qualification this campaign.

After a season filled with ups and downs, United have put themselves in a strong position, but the job is far from finished.

A rare gap in the schedule has given the squad an opportunity to regroup and sharpen up ahead of the run-in.

Following the 2-2 draw away at Bournemouth, United face a 24-day break before returning to action against Leeds United on April 13.

The pause has come as a result of the international break combined with their absence from the FA Cup quarter-finals, and the coaching staff are determined to turn it into a positive.

As part of that plan, the team will travel to the Republic of Ireland for a four-day training camp from April 6 to April 9, as reported by The Athletic.

The idea is to step away from Carrington and focus purely on preparation in Ireland, with an intense schedule designed to improve fitness and  cohesion.

With so much riding on the final weeks, the camp is seen as a key moment to reset and build momentum before the action resumes.

Much of the attention also remains on Michael Carrick, who has guided the team into third place during an impressive spell in charge.

His work has strengthened his case for the permanent manager role, especially if he can deliver Champions League qualification.

A strong finish could leave the club with a difficult decision, as Carrick continues to prove his credentials at the highest level.

However, United are still expected to consider multiple options before making a final call.

Other candidates are believed to be in the frame, meaning Carrick will need to maintain results if he is to secure the job on a long-term basis.
