CaughtOffside reported Tuesday that Manchester United have not yet opened formal talks with Eintracht Frankfurt for French striker Hugo Ekitiké, but the club is aware of his €100 million price tag.

That valuation is seen as a significant hurdle, and United are reportedly exploring ways to lower the fee. A potential swap deal hasn’t been ruled out, with Rasmus Hojlund or Joshua Zirkzee possibly being included as part of a package for Ekitiké.

Chelsea and Liverpool are also said to be interested, though no negotiations with any club have progressed beyond the early stages.

Nonetheless, for PSG’s sake, it’s in their best interest for Eintracht Frankfurt to accept the highest amount possible to get a significant chunk in return due to the sell-on clause.
