Manchester United set demands for Hojlund amidst Inter links – report

Manchester United are refusing to budge on their demands for Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund, as reports from Italy indicate Inter are considering a move for the forward.

According to what has been reported by the Corriere dello Sport, the Premier League giants are only prepared to accept offers for a permanent transfer, rather than a loan with an option or obligation to purchase, as has been hypothesised.

Manchester United set their asking price for Hojlund

The reports suggest that Manchester United’s asking price for the 22-year-old is set at €45 million, considerably under the nearly €80 million fee the club agreed to sign him from Atalanta in 2023, including add-ons.

The Dane struggled this season under the Red Devils’ tumultuous leadership, scoring four goals in 32 Premier League appearances under Erik Ten Hag and Ruben Amorim’s management. As United weigh up attacking reinforcements, Hojlund’s future appears to be in doubt.

Hojlund a backup option for Inter

Inter look set to close on a deal to sign French forward Ange-Yoan Bonny from Parma but the Nerazzurri still need to fill another offensive spot to fill gaps left by outgoing Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa.

19-year-old Francesco Pio Esposito is present in the Club World Cup squad and is looking full of potential but Inter may seek more experienced reinforcements for the upcoming season.
