Manchester United’s schedule for the final stages of the 2025/26 campaign continues to take shape, with another key fixture now confirmed.

The run-in expected to play a defensive role in determining UEFA Champions League qualification, with several clubs tightly packed in the upper half of the table.

Both Manchester United and Liverpool remain firmly involved in that race, making every remaining match increasingly significant.

Recent weeks haver already seen multiple changes to United’s calendar.

Fixtures against Brentford, Chelsea and Leeds were all officially rescheduled, reflecting the ongoing adjustments across the Premier League schedule.

Now, another major clash has been confirmed.

As revealed on Manchester United’s official website, the club’s home fixture against Liverpool has been rescheduled as part of the league’s broadcast selections.

Only after the announcement does the full detail become clear.

The match will take place on Sunday 3 May, with kick-off set for 15:30 BST at Old Trafford.

The fixture could prove crucial in the race for Champions League qualification, with United currently sitting third and Liverpool close behind in fifth, as shown in the latest Premier League standings.

Form heading into the clash could also play a key role.

Liverpool recently faced a potential setback when Hugo Ekitike was forced off with an injury in their last outing, raising concerns over his availability.

However, the forward quickly returned to action during the international break, featuring for France against Brazil and finding the net in a match that also saw Casemiro and Matheus Cunha involved.

Manchester United, meanwhile, have seen a strong improvement in results under Michael Carrick.

Since being appointed interim manager following Ruben Amorim’s departure in January 2026, Carrick has overseen a noticeable upturn in performances, placing the club firmly in contention for a top-four finish.

With both sides pushing for European qualification, the rescheduled meeting at Old Trafford is now set to be one of the standout fixtures in the closing weeks of the season.
