Wolves' last Premier League match was a 2-1 loss to Liverpool at Anfield. Liverpool scored two goals within two minutes late in the first half thanks to goals from Hugo Ekitike and Ryan Gravenberch.

Wolves scored in the 51st minute as Santiago Bueno scored after Allison Becker made a save from a header by Tolu Arokodare.
