Marcus Rashford makes Fenerbahce transfer decision

Marcus Rashford’s future continues to generate headlines as Manchester United prepare for the new season.

The academy graduate is expected to return to Carrington once his World Cup commitments with England come to an end, with Barcelona no longer part of the equation.

After spending last season on loan at Camp Nou, Marcus Rashford had hoped to secure a permanent switch to the Spanish champions.

However, Barcelona ultimately decided against activating the £26 million option to buy him, instead investing £70 million to sign Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United.

With Rashford now set to report back to Manchester United, fresh speculation has emerged linking him with another move abroad.

Recent reports in Turkey claimed Fenerbahce were interested in signing the England international after already completing the arrival of former United forward Mason Greenwood.

Despite the rumours, Fabrizio Romano has dismissed any suggestion that a move is on the cards.

According to Romano, there have been no talks between Rashford and the Turkish giants, while the winger has no intention of making the switch.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano said, “Many reports, guys, but my understanding is that there is nothing between Marcus Rashford and Fenerbahce.

“No negotiations, no conversations, also because Marcus Rashford, with all due respect to Fenerbahce, is not considering a move to Turkey at this stage of his career, so Rashford is not considering that.”

The update effectively rules out any immediate move to the Turkish Super Lig.

Instead, Rashford is now expected to rejoin Michael Carrick’s squad ahead of the 2026/27 season as United assess the next step in his future.

Whether the 27-year-old remains at Old Trafford or attracts interest from elsewhere later in the transfer window remains to be seen, but Romano’s latest update makes it clear that Fenerbahce will not be his destination.
