Marcus Rashford is currently out on loan at Barcelona from Manchester United, following him moving to the Spanish outfit last summer.

The left-sided winger, who came through the United academy, made 426 appearances for the Red Devils prior to leaving last summer.

Furthermore, the English international scored 138 goals in this period.

Meanwhile, since moving to Spain, the 28-year-old has experienced success with him winning the Player of the Match award for his performance against Elche earlier in the season.

As well as this, the Barcelona winger has scored seven times whilst assisting eight goals too.

With this in mind, Rashford has been linked with a move to Spain permanently.

However, with the sacking of Ruben Amorim, this deal was put into doubt.

But, among this, Deco met with Rashford’s agents.

Described as an informal meeting, it was done to provide an update on the forward’s status.

Meanwhile, it also clarified Barcelona’s position and assured Marcus Rashford of the club’s position to keep him at the side long-term, therefore putting the doubt to rest.

Now, with the forward’s position at Barcelona clarified, Rashford has won his first major trophy with Barcelona with the LaLiga Champions beating Real Madrid 3-2 in the Super Cup final on Sunday.

In the game itself, Barcelona went 1-0 up in the 36th minute through a finish from Raphinha.

Following this, a chaotic added-time period followed with three goals scored in four minutes by Vinicius Junior, Robert Lewandowski, and Gonzalo Garcia to make the game 2-2.

But, in the second half, Raphinha was able to restore Barcelona’s advantage with an outside of the box effort on his right foot.

The goal ensured that the side won the game, even with a red card for Frankie De Jong in second half added-time, and, subsequently, the competition.

Furthermore, with Marcus Rashford featuring for the later stages of the game, he will receive a winners medal.

Meanwhile, with this achievement now reached, Rashford and Barcelona may focus their attention on LaLiga and on retaining the league title.

But, with competition from Madrid, the side will have to be at the top of their game.
