Mason Mount officially ventures into golf

Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount has experienced a difficult time at Old Trafford since signing for the club in 2023.

The 27-year-old joined the club in a £55 million deal but has struggled to lock down a starting spot in three full seasons.

Mount could have more of an involvement in the 2026/27 campaign with the Red Devils set to play both domestic and European football, and having limited options in midfield.

Off the pitch, Mason Mount is immersing himself in various business opportunities.

In yet another venture, the United midfielder has announced the launch of his new golf clothing brand, Maejer Golf, on Instagram. “Have been looking forward to sharing this… Welcome to @maejergolf.”

“Founded with friends and built from a genuine love of the game, Maejer is a brand I’ve been creatively involved in from day one.

“Inspired by the traditions of golf, the style that surrounds it and the moments shared on the course, it’s a brand created for people who love the game as much as we do.”

It’s an interesting new business for Mason Mount. Rather than being brought along as an investor or promoting an already-established company, it appears the 27-year-old is starting his own.

It combines a personal interest and a chance at money-making for the Manchester United midfielder. Many footballers enjoy partaking in golf in their spare time, and it appears Mason Mount is one of those.

Mount has been involved in pre-season preparations ahead of the 2026/27 season as Michael Carrick’s side prepare for a huge new campaign.

With many more games after they qualified for the UEFA Champions League, Mount will be hoping to play more football, alongside golfing in his new apparel over the coming ten months.
