McTominay, the best investment and Manchester United’s worst mistake, is going nowhere

Scott McTominay is both a treasure for Napoli and one of Manchester United’s biggest mistakes, so for all the rumours of a Premier League return, nothing is changing that situation.

The midfielder proved once again last night with another acrobatic volley in the Champions League, following on from the incredible strike that sent Scotland soaring into the 2026 World Cup, that is at the core of this Napoli side.

McTominay is not leaving Napoli

He was the architect of the Scudetto, and remains one of the most important investments made by any club in the summer of 2024.

At the same time, McTominay also represents one of the biggest mistakes Manchester United have ever made on the transfer market, shrugging too freely when losing an excellent player.

Over the last few days, there have been various rumours emerging about proposals from English clubs to bring him back to the Premier League.

However, they should be greeted with nothing but a contented smile by Napoli fans, because he is at the centre of this project for the present and the future, with nothing likely to change their minds on that.
