AC Milan owner and RedBird founder Gerry Cardinale has reportedly claimed that he is “never selling” the Rossoneri, as speculation grows about the future of the club’s ownership.

Speaking to guest star Kush from That Milan Podcast, the businessman was asked if he had the intention to sell the club, with rumours stirring that there is interest from Saudi Arabia in the famous Italian club.

To this, Cardinale replied “I am never selling this club.”

It is a strong claim from the 58-year-old, who worked in investment banking before founding RedBird in 2012.

San Siro saga stirred speculation further about Milan ownership

A lot of the speculation about the possible sale of Milan came from the ongoing saga surrounding San Siro.

The Milan clubs have now had their proposal approved to purchase the land around the current stadium and are set to demolish a majority of the current structure and build a new state-of-the-art stadium in its place.

Once the project is underway, or perhaps when it has been completed, the ownership would be in a healthier position to sell but for now Cardinale appears dedicated to the Rossoneri for the long term.
