Milan would seem to be a very long way off Strasbourg right-back Guéla Doué, as it’s reported their latest €18m offer is nowhere near the €28m asking price.
It had already been confirmed on Football Italia earlier this week that the Rossoneri were planning on a new bid after seeing the opener rejected.
Now more details are emerging on that proposal, which came in and was promptly turned down again today.
L’Equipe note that the first offer was €15m, with the second rising to €18m this weekend.
The problem, as pointed out by Calciomercato.com, is that the Strasbourg asking price is closer to €28m.
This is significantly more than the original Italian suggestions of €20m as a starting point.
It represents a mountain to climb and the slow progress of these negotiations is just going to further irritate the Ligue 1 club.
The 22-year-old is an Ivory Coast international and the older brother of Paris Saint-Germain talent Desiré Doué.
