It is still uncertain whether Mohamed Salah will stay at Liverpool under Arne Slot after his controversial interview last weekend, following a Premier League game against Leeds United.
Salah openly expressed disappointment with the manager about being benched for three games straight in the Premier League. Salah was excluded from the Liverpool squad for their Champions League match against Inter Milan this week.
Many Liverpool fans will keep an eye on Salah ahead of Liverpool's next Premier League game against Brighton, which could be the player's last match as a Liverpool player.
With his future uncertain, links to other clubs emerge, as the Saudi Arabian league remains open to bringing in the forward this winter.
Saudi Pro League CEO Omar Mugharbel states that the league is targeting Salah. Mugharbel said, "Mohamed Salah is welcome in the Saudi League, but it is the clubs that are responsible for negotiating with players. For sure, Salah is one of them."
Not only has the Saudi Pro League shown interest in Salah, but the MLS has as well. MLS club San Diego FC is reportedly the latest club to look into potentially signing the 33-year-old forward.
Tom Bogert from The Athletic reports that San Diego FC is looking to potentially sign Mohamed Salah in the winter transfer window in January.
This is due to San Diego FC's ownership being in connection with Salah and his representatives. Despite this connection, San Diego does not see signing Mohamed Salah ahead of the 2026 MLS season as realistic.
The move is highly unlikely, but it could suggest that Salah is indeed potentially leaving Liverpool and that other MLS clubs could potentially pursue the Egyptian forward.
Sources: It is not a main focus nor realistic for San Diego FC to attempt to sign Mohamed Salah from Liverpool in January.

Connections between Salah and San Diego's ownership, but highly unlikely for now.
