Move for Tottenham star ‘almost impossible’, but club chief optimistic about getting ‘difficult’ deal done

Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.

The 27-year-old has been quite underwhelming since the big-money move from Everton, and he has been linked with an exit from Tottenham in the summer. Brazilian club Fluminense are interested in securing his signature, and a report from Bolavip claims that Tottenham are making it difficult for the South Americans to get the deal done.

Deal proving to be difficult

The report claims that Tottenham is resistant to negotiations, and sources close to the player believe that a deal could be ‘almost impossible’. However, the President of the Brazilian club, Mario Bittencourt, is optimistic about negotiating the ‘difficult’ deal.

Fluminense will not be able to offer a substantial amount of money for the Brazilian attacker, and therefore, they could look to offer youth players in a deal to sweeten the offer for Tottenham.

It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can finalise an agreement in the coming weeks.

Richarlison exit would be ideal for all parties

Richarlison does not have a future at Tottenham, and he has not been a regular starter for them this season. His performances have been underwhelming, and he has struggled with injuries as well. It would be ideal for Tottenham to let the player leave. They should look to cut their losses on him and move on.

They need to bring in a quality attacker during the summer window, and replacing the South American would be ideal. It remains to be seen how the situation develops.

The player needs a fresh start in order to get his career back on track as well. He could be open to leaving Tottenham if the right opportunity presents itself.
